PWC
On January 11th,2018, I received the opportunity to participate in an Aggie externship at PWC in Houston, Texas.Taking advantage of this opportunity completely changed my mentality on what path one should take before applying for or working at a company. I realized that at the end of the day, the amount of money or the company's prominence does not contribute directly to your satisfaction; one's main concern when working for a company should relate to whether that company fulfills your values and match your interest.

In Fall 2017, I received the opportunity to volunteer in the cardiac rehab and skilled nursing facility. Here, I took patients' blood pressures, oxygen levels, and monitored their heart rates as they performed their assigned exercises. The active and friendly environment made me feel as if my work duties were more like chosen fun activities. I loved being in this environment and dedicated myself to become a better trainer in the rehab center.
Throughout 2018, I received the opportunity to learn about one more vital branch of healthcare: the HR department. Due to this opportunity, I discovered the active role of administration departments and the sophisticated processes and information admin has to keep up with. I got to exhibit my creative, organizational, and communication skills in this weekly opportunity.

President Michael K. Young
Graduating from Texas A&M University, I received the honor and was chosen to speak as the Student Voice of my class. This opportunity was one that I hesitated to accept initially, but with the support of friends and family, I'm thankful that I accepted this opportunity. Being able to give a speech in front of my peers and loved ones, meeting and getting to know some of the most respectable individuals at my university, and experiencing what it's like to be part of the stage party are a few of the most amazing opportunities I received at TAMU.

Professional Experience
The next step after graduation was getting a great job. Thanks to Barrios Technology, I was able to support NASA'S contracts and missions. Barrios taught me the roles of Business manager and how to excel in project budgeting, forecast, and deliverables. Here I met incredible mentors who trained me to become proficient in all my roles and confidently take on spontaneous tasks. I have enjoyed the workplace atmosphere and the company's support of a great work-life balance for all employees. However, I only got to enjoy 6 months in the office before Covid-19 took over and encouraged us to adapt to the new virtually-efficient work-from-home world. Thank you Barrios for the amazing opportunities you continue to provide.
limra medical
Another great experience life gave me was the opportunity to step foot in a doctor's shoes and diagnose, chart, and advise patients in Chicago's clinic with the most helpful Physician & team. My role as the doctor's assistant, an MA, a nurse, a learning phlebotomist, and an administrative assistant taught me a vast amount of medical knowledge in such little time. The relationships I made with patients and my peers will never be forgotten. Thank you for giving me so much respect Dr. Badar Zaheer and for taking your time to teach me beneficial medical procedures and diagnosing skills.
Shadowing surgery
One of the greatest opportunities in my life was being able to shadow my first open-heart surgery. I walked into the operating room, seeing the whole case as one of the nest dreams I've ever had. I felt like I was in a movie acting out an episode among my dear medical professionals. I still cannot believe I was able to finally live a day in my life living my dream. This mini-episode as working as a Cardiac Perfusionist in the operating room inspires me each day to keep working to one day make this dream a reality. I am forever grateful to God for giving me this opportunity & making me fall in love with the cardiovascualr system.
